Frequently asked questions

How low should I lower the dumbbells?
Lower as far as a neutral spine can be maintained. For most people this is around knee height to mid-shin. Hamstring flexibility determines the individual range, not a fixed depth target.
What is the difference between a Romanian deadlift and a conventional deadlift?
The Romanian deadlift starts from the top and emphasizes the eccentric hamstring stretch with the knees staying mostly extended. The conventional deadlift starts from the floor with a deeper knee bend, involving the quadriceps more in the initial pull.
